The
Great Smoky Mountains Railroad does it again! This is the time of the year when hundreds of leaf-lookers
flock to the mountains of North Carolina and the Blue Ridge Parkway. The plethora of orange, yellow and
reddish leaves, against a backdrop of mountainous beauty, takes ones breath
away. Yet, right in the heart of
it all lies an unforgettable adventure for the whole family to enjoy; and kids
be sure to bring those Halloween costumes and trick-or-treat bags! ItÕs PEANUTSª The Great Pumpkin Patch
Express, where oodles of children, all dressed up; board the train for a
journey to a spectacular place bustling with entertainment.
Wait, an
announcement is made ... drum-roll-please ... the trick-or-treating has begun
... and all inside a very clever tent called, ÒTrick or Treat Street.Ó Inside this tent it is pitch black
except for dimly lit rows of miniature trick-or-treat Òhouses.Ó It is essentially a magical
trick-or-treat wonderland. Little
houses are lined with tiny strands of lights, each adorned with dimly lit
doorbells and carefully arranged decorations are everywhere you look.
Departing,
in 2008, from the Dillsboro Depot October 10, 11, 12, 17, 18, 19, 24, 25 &
26.
Friday
departure time will be at 3:30PM; on Saturdays and Sundays departure will be at
1:30PM
and 5:00PM.
